Filipinos should be "color blind" when it comes to public service, especially in times of disasters and calamities, Sen. Joseph Victor "JV" Ejercito said on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
Ejercito joined Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada in criticizing a San Juan City ordinance regulating visits and aid distribution in evacuation centers within the city. He appealed to the local officials to reconsider the guidelines.
"Kung anong makakabuti sa bayan, kung may nais tumulong sa bayan, dapat pong tanggapin...Pagdating sa kalamidad, dapat po, color blind po tayo, wala tayong pulitika," the Deputy Majority Leader manifested during the plenary session.
