National Youth Convention in Baguio

Congratulations to the National Youth Commission on the success of its recent National Youth Convention in Baguio!
Cliche man pakinggan, but I have always believed that the youth is the hope of our country. Upon meeting our SK Federation presidents, PMA and PNP cadets, and ROTC corps commanders, I am convinced that this remains true in our present time.
Like most of them, I, too, started out as a youth leader. Later on, youth development would continue to be one of my main advocacies as a lawmaker and public servant.
With this advocacy, we were able to secure the passage of landmark legislation for the Filipino youth, such as the SK Reform Law, Free Education Law, and Unified Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST) Law.
Young people will always have a friend and ally in the Senate. Mabuhay ang kabataang Pilipino!
