Senator JV Ejercito’s statement on the appointment of Vince Dizon as incoming DOTr chief

I congratulate Secretary Vivencio ‘Vince’ Dizon on his appointment as the new Secretary of the Department of Transportation.
As a staunch advocate of infrastructure development and transport modernization, I look forward to working with incoming Secretary Dizon to fast track the completion of major infrastructure projects that will benefit millions of Filipinos.
Hangad natin na maipagpatuloy niya ang mga programa tulad ng airport modernization, subway, Metro Manila Subway Project, North-South Commuter Railway, Mindanao Railway, at PNR South Long Haul— mga proyektong magdadala ng mas maayos, episyente, at modernong transportasyon para sa ating bansa.
We also extend our gratitude to outgoing Secretary Jaime Bautista for his dedicated service to the DOTr. Having worked closely with him as the one defending the agency’s budget last year, I have seen firsthand his commitment to strengthening the country’s transport systems.
